Hiking

The Saranac Lake and Lake Placid region contains many of the Adirondack high peaks and thousands of lakes to hike into for a quick swim. It's a short hike up Mount Baker from Little Nell or the main house on Moody Pond, offering one of the best views of wild forest, mountains, and lakes. Saranac Lake has its very own hiking program called the ADK 6'ers. “A Mountain for Everyone,” whose mission is to introduce people to the tri-lakes part of the Adirondack Park. The six mountains are McKenzie Mt., Ampersand Mt., Scarface Mt., Haystack Mt., St. Regis Mt., and Mt. Baker. Find trail maps and detailed information at http://saranaclake6er.com/6er-trail-guide/
